His Excelency the Governor of Kentucky.

We the undersigned members of Company "C" 1^st Ky,, Light Artillery Vol,, Having Served for the term of one year in the Service of the UnitedStates, under CaptainJn^oW. Neville, and having re-enlisted for three year's more. do respectfully petition that EdwinW. GouldSergt,, of the above named Company be AppointedCaptain of the Company. By reason that the Captain's term of Service expires upon the tenth of Sept,, 1864. and we understand that he wishes to change his Position or retire from service.
