To His Excellency
Governer of Kentucky

I desire to state that the Regt. to which I belong is now at this place and will be mustered out of the service in a few days the Regt. is about five hundred Strong. From the troubles which exist at the time in the vicinity of our Houses, it will be impossible for us to live without some sort of organization. I have confessed with quite a number of the men of the Regt. in the subject

I am convinced that the Regt can be recognized, if they will be allowed to serve in the vacinity of their Houses —

If such permissions are granted I request the authority to raise a Regiment, for State Service, for the term of one year to be stationed at Lebanon Ky — for the protection of Central Kentucky — Hoping that my request will be granted
