You will proceed to New York and receive the "Triplett" guns under Contract with Parker Snow & Co. of date Nov 1864, and have them shippped to the Qr master Genl of Kenty. you will receive such guns as have been inspected and certified to be complete according to Contract. For the time you are necessarily absent, you are relieved from active duty as Paymaster General of Kentucky, to resume your duties upon return
