Payne, Moses Payne, Reuben Payne, and Nancy B. Payne. Plasterer in Rockcastle County in 1860. Corporal and private in the 3rd Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) from October 1861 to October 1864. Reduced in rank to private in February 1862. Jailer in Rockcastle County from 1863 to 1864.
