Hancock County, Kentucky, medical student and soldier. Hardinsburg, Kentucky, native. Son of William Sterett and Elizabeth Sterett. Married Eliza McAdams Sterett in Hancock County on July 5, 1865. Resident of Hancock County in 1850. Medical Student in Hancock County in 1860. Enlisted in the 1st Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (C. S. A.) on June 1, 1861.
