Served in the 48th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as colonel from October 15, 1863, to December 19, 1864. Commanded Post of Bowling Green, Kentucky, District of Kentucky, Department of the Ohio, from January 1864 to March 1864. Commanded Post of Munfordville, Kentucky, District of Kentucky, Department of the Ohio, from April 1864 to August 1864.
