Hopkins County, Kentucky, clerk and soldier. Kentucky native. Married to Louisa Campbell. Father of Fannie Campbell and Emma Campbell. Clerk in Hopkins County in 1860. Captain in the 25th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.), which was consolidated into the 17th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) from January 1862 to March 1862. Colonel for Hopkins County in 1863. Lieutenant colonel in the 17th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) from April 1865 to September 1865.
