Cincinnati, Ohio, judge and senator. New York native. Married to Eliza W. Saffin. Father of Oliver Saffin, Cornelia Saffin, Guy P. Saffin, and Harry C. Saffin. Associate judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Hamilton County, Ohio, in 1850. Member of the Senate of the State of Ohio from 1858 to 1860. Attorney in Cincinnati in 1860. Judge of the Cincinnati Police Court in Cincinnati from 1861 to 1862.
