Father of Florence Campbell, Bettie Campbell, Caroline Campbell, and James Campbell. Studied law under William T. Barry. Attorney in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Moved to Salem, Kentucky in 1829. Member of the Senate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the 1820s and 1830s. Served as the State Attorney. Formed a Railroad Company in Paducah with L. M. Flournoy and William Norton in 1852. Attorney in Paducah in 1860.
