Father of George Walford, Mary Walford, John Walford, Kate Walford, Samuel Walford, and Jermia Walford. Attorney in Liberty, Kentucky. Member of the State House of Representatives in 1847, 1848, and 1865. Served in the 1st Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as colonel from October 28, 1861, to 1864. Dishonorably discharged in 1864 for vehement protest against recruitment of black soldiers.
