Paducah, Kentucky, attorney and politician. Fleming County, Kentucky, native. Son of James Trimble and Harriet Tripplet Trimble. Admitted to the bar in Maysville, Kentucky, in 1844. Practiced law in Paducah after 1847. Member of the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Kentucky from Paducah from 1851 to 1852. Circuit Judge of the First Judicial District of Kentucky from 1856 to 1859. Elector on the Democratic Party ticket of Stephen A. Douglas in 1860. President of the Ohio and New Orleans Railroad Company from 1860 to 1865. Member of the House of Representatives of the United States from the First Congressional District of Kentucky from March 4, 1865 to March 3, 1871.
