Chrisman. Founding member of the Jessamine Female Institute in 1854. Owned fourteen enslaved persons in 1860. Sheriff of Jessamine County from 1858 to 1860. Captain of the Jessamine County Home Guard in 1861. Served as a volunteer aid to General William R. Terrell of the United States Army.
