Bowling Green, Kentucky, banker. Tennessee native. Son of Eliza C.Calvert. Married to Margaret Y. Calvert. Father of Eliza Calvert, Mary Calvert, Margaret Calvert, and Josephine Calvert. Attorney in Warren County, Kentucky, in 1850. Cashier at the Bowling Green Branch of the Northern Bank of Kentucky from 1854 to 1865. Owned two enslaved persons in 1860. A founder of the Presbyterian Female Seminary in Bowling Green in 1860.
