Garrard County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. Married to Elizabeth Bell Faulkner in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, on September 7, 1859. Father of John Faulkner. Farmer in Garrard County, Kentucky, in 1860. Owned eighteen enslaved persons in Garrard County in 1860. Served in the 7th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a major, lieutenant colonel, and colonel from April 16, 1862 to July 10, 1865.
