Boyle County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. Kentucky native. Married to Mary Ann Johnson. Father of Jane Johnson, Patsey Johnson, Mary Ann Johnson, Shelby Johnson, Rosaline Johnson, James Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, and Nathan Johnson. Farmer in Boyle County in 1860. Served in the 8th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private from September 8, 1862 to September 17, 1863.
