Merchant in Springfield, Illinois. Member of the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Kentucky from Jefferson County, Kentucky, in 1848. President of the Louisville, Cincinnati & Lexington Railroad from 1853 to 1855. Partner in the real estate firm Henning & Speed in Louisville. Surveyor in Louisville in 1860.
