Mason County, Kentucky, soldier. Kentucky native. Son of Thomas Mannen and Susan Mannen. Student in Mason County in 1850. Student in Mason County in 1860. Served in the 40th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as major from September 29, 1863, until his resignation was approved on February 26, 1864.
