Married to Mary Louise Mitchell Cady in Mason County on November 23, 1854. Father of Mary L. Cady, William Frank Cady, and Andrew M. Cady. Merchant in Mason County in 1860. Clerk at Pearce & Son, Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1863. U. S. police captain in 1865.
