Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky, writer, poet, and shoemaker. Native of England. Married to Charlotte Ash Marvin in Saint Mary, Nottingham, England, on August 11, 1825. Served in the 2nd Kentucky Infantry as private during the Mexican-American War. Shoemaker in Danville in 1850. Wrote “The Battle of Monterey,” published in Danville in 1851. Shoemaker in Danville in 1860.
