Father of Griffin P. Theobald, Robert M. Theobald, Henry K. Theobald, Sally T. Theobald, Bettie Theobald, and Susan Theobald. Clerk in Franklin County in 1850. Farmer in Frankfort in 1860. Employed George Williams as a house servant in Frankfort in 1860. Served in the U.S. Army Volunteers as paymaster between 1861 and 1865. Addressed as captain in a note from Robert Armstrong Athey in May 1864.
