Johnson County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. Virginia native. Son of Isaac Goble and Jane F. Goble. Married to Emmaline Hanna Goble. Father of Margaret Goble, Mary Goble, Francis Goble, and Sarah Goble. Farmer in Johnson County, Kentucky, in 1850. Commissioned to the 39th Kentucky Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as first lieutenant on September 6, 1862. Captured in Floyd County on December 4, 1862. Confined at Richmond, Virginia, from May 4, 1863, to May 5, 1863. Served in the 39th Kentucky Infantry as first lieutenant to September 15, 1865.
