Studied medicine under Dr. Peter J. Baley of Logan County, Kentucky. Graduate of the Nashville Medical College in 1855. Postmaster of Underwood in Hopkins County, Kentucky, from October 13, 1857. Physician in Hopkins County in 1860. Employed T. I. Davis as a laborer and Elizabeth Swinly as a domestic servant in Hopkins County in 1860. Physician in Hopkins County in 1863.
