Caldwell County, Kentucky, attorney, judge, and state representative. North Carolina native. Married to Mary R. Cameron Edmunds in Orange County, North Carolina, in April 1839. Father of Eliza Edmunds, Charles Edmunds, Augustus Edmunds, William Edmunds, and Mary Edmunds. Attorney in Princeton, Kentucky, in 1860. Owned seven enslaved persons in Princeton in 1860. Judge in Caldwell County. Member of the Senate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky from Caldwell County until 1862. Killed by guerilla conflict aboard the steamer Nashville in 1862.
