Served in the 1st Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (C.S.A.) from November 3, 1861. Prisoner of war at Louisville, Kentucky; Camp Chase, Ohio; and Rock Island Barracks, Illinois, from from September 8, 1863, to February 15, 1865.
