Caldwell County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. Missouri native. Married to Martha Seely. Father of William E. Seely, T. H. Seely, and A. M. Seely. Stepfather of Eliza J. Martin. Farmer in Princeton, Kentucky, in 1860. Served in the 48th Kentucky Volunteer Mounted Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as private from October 26, 1863. Died from wounds received in action at Salem, Kentucky, on September 17, 1864.
