Served in the 52nd Kentucky Volunteer Mounted Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private and sergeant from September 26,1863, to November 17, 1864. Served in the 17th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a sergeant from December 5, 1864, to September 20, 1865.
