Resident in Caldwell County, Kentucky, in 1860. Served in the 1st Louisiana Cavalry Regiment (C.S.A.) as a private. Captured January 28, 1863 in Caldwell County. POW at Camp Chase, Ohio, until sent to City Point, Virginia, for exchange on March 28, 1863.
