Hopkins County, Kentucky, coal digger and soldier. Tennessee native. Married to Lucinda A. Sisk Braswell in Robertson County, Tennessee, on August 5, 1853. Father of Mary E. Braswell, Samuel H. Braswell, and Martha Braswell. Laborer in Robertson County in 1850. Coal digger in Hopkins County, Kentucky, in 1860. Served in the 25th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a sergeant from January 1, 1862 to April 13, 1862. Served in the 17th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private from April 13, 1862 to June 22, 1862. Died while in military service at Henderson, Kentucky, on June 22, 1862.
