Hamilton, Ohio, daguerreotype artist and soldier. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, native. Son of Samuel W. Bloom and Elizabeth Bloom. Daguerreotype artist in Hamilton, Ohio, in 1860. Served in the 52nd Ohio Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a captain of from May 22, 1862 to January 8, 1863. Served in the 7th Kentucky Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a major from November 1, 1864 to July 10, 1865.
