Justice of the peace in Whitley County in 1861. Served in the 7th Kentucky Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as first sergeant and first lieutenant from March 27, 1862, to June 13, 1863. Died from wounds received at the Battle of Vicksburg on June 13, 1863.
