Farm laborer in Metcalfe County in 1860. Served in the 13th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private from December 31, 1861 to November 21, 1863. Wounded at the Battle of Huff's Ferry, Roane County, Tennessee, on November 14, 1863. Died at Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee, on November 21, 1863.
