Farm laborer in Lyon County, Kentucky, in 1860. Farmer in Lyon County in 1863. Served in the 3rd Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (C.S.A.) as a private from December 15, 1864, to May 2, 1865. Reported as deserted on April 18, 1865. Signed an oath of allegiance to the United States Government on May 2, 1865.
