Grant County, Kentucky, overseer and soldier. Kentucky native. Overseer in Grant County, Kentucky, in 1860. Household owned five enslaved persons in Grant County in 1860. Served in the 11th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a blacksmith from September 22, 1862 to July 20, 1864. Captured in Blount County, Tennessee, on November 14, 1863. Prisoner of war at Andersonville Prison, in Sumter County, Georgia. Died at Andersonville Prison on July 20, 1864.
