Grant County, Kentucky, clerk and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of Joseph Zinn and Nancy Taylor Zinn. Attended school in Grant County, Kentucky, in 1850. Clerk in Grant County in 1860. Served in the 32nd Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a first lieutenant from January 26, 1863 to May 1863. Clerk in Grant County in 1863.
