Attended school in Powell County in 1850. Carpenter in Powell County in 1860. Served in the 4th Kentucky Mounted Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private from October 9, 1861, to December 21, 1863. Wounded in battle near Chickamauga, Walker County, Georgia, on September 19, 1863. Died of disease on December 21, 1863.
