Household owned three enslaved persons in Scott County in 1850. Farmer in Grant County, Kentucky, in 1860. Served in the 11th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a second lieutenant from September 22, 1862, to April 15, 1864. Resigned on account of disability on April 15, 1864.
