Reported as deserted from Marion County, Kentucky, on January 8, 1863. Captured at the Battle of Philadelphia in Monroe County, Tennessee, on October 20, 1863. Prisoner of war from October 20, 1863 to February 22, 1864. Died in Richmond, Virginia on February 22, 1864
