Grant County, Kentucky, farm laborer and soldier. Tennessee native. Son of Absalom Ivey and Jane Ivey. Resident of Campbell County, Tennessee, in 1850. Farm laborer in Campbell County in 1860. Served in the 11th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry (U.S.A.) as a private from September 22, 1862 to January 25, 1863. Died from disease on January 25, 1863.
