Grant County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. Carter County, Tennessee, native. Son of Nathan Hendrix and Sabre Hendrix. Married to Matilda B. Alexander in Grant County, Kentucky, in February 1861. Attended school in Grant County in 1850. Farmer in Grant County in 1860. Served in the 11th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private and saddler from September 22, 1862 to July 31, 1864. Killed at the Battle of Sunshine Church in Jones County, Georgia, on July 31, 1864.
