Grant County, Kentucky, laborer and soldier. Ohio native. Married to Matilda Rozel. Father of Elizabeth Rozel, James Rozel, Joseph Rozel, William Rozel, and John Rozel. Laborer in Boone County, Kentucky, in 1850. Resident of Grant County in 1862. Served in the 11th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a wagoner and private from September 22, 1862 to September 19, 1864. Reported as deserted from Lexington on September 19, 1864.
