Grant County, Kentucky, farmer and soldier. Kentucky native. Married to Elizabeth "Betsy" Fisher Edmondson in Boone County, Kentucky, on August 13, 1837. Father of Mary J. Edmondson, Ester E. Edmondson, Felix Edmondson, William H. Edmondson, Lucinda Edmondson, Adeline Edmondson, and Sarah Edmondson. Farmer in Grant County in 1850. Farmer in Grant County in 1860. Served in the 11th Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a corporal from September 22, 1862 to October 1864. Captured in Jasper County, Georgia, on July 31, 1864. Prisoner of war at Andersonville Prison, in Sumter County, Georgia. Died at Andersonville Prison in October 1864.
