Jackson County, Kentucky, farmer. Kentucky native. Son of James Isaacs and Elizabeth Isaacs. Married to Mary Jane Clemons Isaacs in Laurel County, Kentucky, on January 16, 1857. Father of William Isaacs and George Isaacs. Attended school in Madison County, Kentucky, in 1850. Laborer in Jackson County 1859. Convicted of manslaughter by the Jackson Circuit Court in November 1859. Inmate of the Kentucky State Penitentiary in Frankfort from November 16, 1859, to January 1861. Pardoned by Governor Beriah Magoffin on January 29, 1861. Served in the 1st Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment (U.S.A.) as a private and corporal from October 28, 1861 to February 14, 1863. Farmer in Jackson County in 1863.
