I know. L. E. P. Bush & his family. He has been 1st Lieut of Battery E. 1st Ky. light artillery — The Captof that battery is absent being mustered out as I understand. Lieut. Bush is I learn a deserving officer & desires promotion I learn & believe he has been intelligent & efficient in his office

I fully concur in what Genl Huston has stated above about Leut Bush. as he served under me over a year in the 20th Ky Infty. & I know him to be a number one soldier & would like to see him promoted
