Dear Sir:

I enclose petition to the Governor on the behalf of Henry Branham for remission of fine — signed by a number of respectable Citizens of this County — among whom will be found R W Martinson Judge of our County Court — The Clerks of the Circuit & County Courts — The attornies of our bar generally and several of the Jury who tried the Case —

The testimony showed a very near approach if not a clear case of Self defence in law and if Consistent with public policy in such Cases it is hoped the petition may be granted
