To His Excellency, Thomas E. Bramlette Governor of Kentucky.

Your petitioners Citizens of Jessamine County, would respectfully represent; that Frances L Bourn, was indicted in two cases, at the September term 1864 of the Jessamine Circuit Court — In one, for stealing a bay horse, the property of Ambrose Cobb, and in the other, for stealing a roan horse, the property of William M Bibb. Two terms of the Court have been held since the indictments were found and at each term the cases were Continued by the Commonwealth

The family of the accused are law-abiding, good Citizens and have nothing to regret, so much, as a pending indictment against one of their members on a charge of larceny — Prior to these indictments, the accused bore a good name, and since then, he has been industrious and well disposed —

Your petitioners do not believe the interest of the public or that public justice, requires the further prosecution of said indictments. on the Contrary, they believe the ends of justice will be better attained by Causing them to be dismissed,
they therefore, respectfully, ask your Excellency to Cause said indictments to be discontinued —
