The Grand Jury of Crittenden County in the name and by the authority of the Commonwealth of Kentucky accuse A S Greenlee and Spinks Tucker of the offense of unlawfully refusing as officers of an election to receive the votes of qualified voters committed as follows to wit: The said A S Greenlee being and acting as judge and the said Spinks Tucker being and acting as sheriff at Precinct No 3 in Crittenden County of an election held on the 7^th day of August 1865 at said precinct for a member of Congress for the 1^st Congressional District of Kentucky, a member to represent the County of Crittenden in the ensueing general assembly of Kentucky, also for Treasurer of said state and Jailor of said county. Which election was appointed by law to be held at that time and place did as such judge and Sheriff and at said time and place unlawfully refuse to receive the votes of J N Clements & J B Clements who then and there
offered to vote and who were then and there qualified to vote for Congressman County representative, state Treasurer and county jailor, against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth of Kentucky
