I had a hore Stolen from my Stable on the turnpike road Leading from Paynes Dept to Gegetown foer miles from the latter place on the night of the thirteenth of September last and ^have^ good reasons to beleve that Joseph Covington Stole the Said horse, Said Covington has been arrested in the State of Indiana and is now in Jail at Shelbyville in that State — This affidavit is made for the purpose of enabling me to obtain a requisition from his Excellency the governor of Kentucky on the governor of Indiana for Said Covington that he may be brought to Kentucky for trial —
