Your of 8^th inst to N. B. Rion is before me, I think you need give yourself no trouble about any presentment before Grand Jury, that thing is played out, Our town is full to overflowing with such desirable Citizens, Sir Robbin^s health is good & his character remains unimpeached, He isorderly, quiet, &unassuming, Short time since enquired for you, I wrote you last spring & directed to Flemingsburg — not knowing your address, I collected the debt in Southern Ky — of Heater Porter & Read, one of them is dead, I think Porter, M^r R wrote to me to send the note to Louisville, I done so & it was paid with 6% — M^r R is a perfect gentleman, I paid as follows. Rion & Mitchell infull Garrett & Spears infull & the bal to Massie — I have just looked for the memorandum but failed to find it — I stated the diferent Amt^s in my former letter, buissiness is dull, no chance for employment
at this time, Sam I would like to see you muchverymuch & can say the same for D^r Ingles,
