I herewith forward you a properly authenticated copy of an indictment on the dockett of this court against Kinchen Battoe, who is believed to be in Tennessee. He is a noted forger who raised some eight or ten thousand dollars onf the Bank in this part of Ky, by forging the names of his own father & others and fled the country about four years ago. My information ^is he can^ be can be obtained if a requisition is obtained from the Executive of Tennessee and Mr Wm Durrett is appointed to Execute the warrant of Governor of Tennessee. Mr Durrett is a gentleman of firmness, prudence, humanity and honor and be a most suitable person to appoint, if the Governor will make a special officer which is some times done in such cases.
