Governor of the Commonwealth of Ky

The undersigned would Represent to youre Excelincy that ^at the^ Sept. Term of the Powell Circuit Court 1858 that the Commonwealth obtained a Judgement against John Woodward for unlawful gaming ^for thirty dollars^ and that J N B Hardwick to Prevent him from going to Jail Repleved the Same for him

and they would further represent that Said Woodward has since left the State without Paying Said fine and that the Sheriff is now endevoring to make the Same out of Said Hardwick which if made will be very oppressive on him and we would humbly aske youre Excelincy to remit Said fine.
